Creating Your Account
Getting started with HomeSort is quick and easy:
- Click "Get started free" on the homepage
- Enter your name, email address, and create a strong password
- Check your email for a verification link
- Click the link to verify your email and activate your account
Password requirements: Your password must be at least 8 characters long and contain uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
First Steps
Once your account is created, here's what to do next:
1. Create Your Family (Optional)
If you want to collaborate on home maintenance with family members, go to the Family page and create your family. You can then invite members by email to share tasks and schedules.
2. Start Adding Tasks
Begin tracking your home maintenance tasks. Add regular maintenance items, schedule upcoming repairs, and plan your home improvement projects.
Understanding Your Dashboard
Your dashboard is your central hub for all HomeSort activities:
- Overview: See your home maintenance tasks and schedules
- Family: Manage family members and invitations
- Settings: Update your account settings and preferences
Installing as a Mobile App
HomeSort works great as a web app, but you can also install it on your home screen for quick access:
iOS (iPhone/iPad)
- Open HomeSort in Safari
- Tap the Share button
- Tap "Add to Home Screen"
- Tap "Add"
Android
- Open HomeSort in Chrome
- Tap the menu (three dots)
- Tap "Add to Home screen"
- Tap "Add"
